Daddy’s Girl

Some awesome things are in this world

Of the best…a daddy’s girl.

Dad and me, we pillow fight

We tickle-wrestle with all our might

In the living room, we pitch a tent

Releasing energy that’s been pent

His arms become my “daddy trees”

A horse he is on hands and knees

We hike and camp out in the woods

We eat more candy than we should

He helps with monsters under the bed

“I love you” often is what’s said

Not much changes as we grow

He teaches what we need to know

My daddy is my safety net

He cares for me… blood, tears, and sweat

My hand and heart, he’ll always hold

Never will I grow too old

That man will always be my friend

My daddy’s love, it knows no end.
